The team at Warrior Equine have many years experience of specialising in working with military veterans and the Armed Forces community. 

Having seen the powerful positive effect of working with horses on those suffering from severe psychological trauma, we were inspired to put together a programme of courses and support for the Armed Forces, veterans and emergency services personnel and other groups who have often given so much in the course of their duty.

Since then we have built a network of partners and supporters, working with organisations such as Help for Heroes, the Army Polo Association, Veterans Outdoors, Battling On, NHS Op Courage and Veterans Hubs, delivering highly successful courses for a large number of military veterans.  Since 2017 we have supported a partnership with the Armed Forces, entrusting us to work with serving personnel, working directly with the Army Recovery Capability and their network of Personnel Recovery Units for the Army, Navy & RAF wounded, injured and sick.

Warrior Equine offers equine-assisted Mental Resilience and Positive Wellbeing courses, adapting to each group’s individual needs, for groups of a minimum 6 and up to 10 attendees. Our aim is to facilitate long term positive changes in mental health, resilience, confidence and self worth, reigniting that zest for life.

As for everyone, the current financial climate is making funding ever more scarce. However, we continue to look forward with confidence, building more partnerships and delivering our programme of proven courses. Borrowing the Royal Marines mantra of ‘Cheerfulness in Adversity’ we are busy making positive plans for 2024 and beyond, so watch this space!
